Anxiety

Our generation seems to suffer from this.
I
t's so difficult to "fit in" to try and be like everyone else.
When really all we should want 
to be is ourselves.
 
We dread an in person conversation.
Become uneasy when a text message won't
work and now we have to call.
With all the thoughts that go through our
minds day to day, we become restless
and those thoughts, they just stay.
 
Anxiety is a real thing. It comes from distress,
expectations and sometimes even regret.
Your body takes over, now it's your job to hit reset.
 
Don't worry it happens to the best of us.
Close your eyes, take a deep breath,
everything will be alright.
 
Today you've beat anxiety,
one step at a time.
